"Bill, you want a cup of tea?"

Dominic hopped down from his stool before his friend had a chance to answer and busied himself finding a kettle and filling it with water.

"'Got a drink already, Dommeh." Billy thrust his bottle of wine high in the air and cackled, swaying slightly before leaning over the table top.

"I'm making tea anyway..." Dom replied before adding, "and a pot of coffee for me."

It was 3:46 in the morning and Dom was wearing a pair of Tigger boxers and only one sock. He had been sound asleep when he heard a crash in his hallway and then a definite stream of Gaelic curses. Billy had been out with some people and instead of heading back to his hotel, he decided to use his spare key and wake his good friend Dominic up for a chat.

Unfortunately Billy forgot what he wanted to talk about and settled himself in the kitchen with one of Dom's wine bottles he had.

'No more sleep tonight', Dominic thought with a yawn, leaning against his counter and scratching the back of his head. He remained silent as he watched his friend try to and get a drink from the bottle with his feet. Normally Dom would have freaked, but he was too exhausted to care. If anything broke, he'd clean it in the morning. Or make Billy do it, considering he wasn't planning on going anywhere else tonight.

Dominic wished he knew what Billy was saying, for the inebriated man was now speaking lightly to himself in a number of launguages, none of which Dom knew.

Wait, that was wrong. Billy was speaking English, his words were just too slurred and mumbled for Dom to understand.

"Everything 'right Bill?"

"Aye, Dommeh. Everythin is fuuuuuhn. Fine, okeh dokeh!" Billy giggled and reached for the bottle that was still between his feet and succeeded in knocking it all over the table. "No problemo! I can clean!" He reached down and tried to lick the wine off the table.

Dom rushed over, pulling his friend away from the table. He hadn't expected Billy to be as heavy as he was and the two toppled over onto the kitchen floor.Ú

"Meh hero!"

Dominic pushed the giggling Scot away and sat up. Not now, please not now, he willed himself, knowing he was having a hard time not finding his friend attractive in this state. You're a fuckin' perv, you are.

"Bill, get up."

"I am up!"

"No, you're lyin' on the floor now get up."

Billy supressed his snort behind his palm. "Oh, I tho' you meant that sexually."

What?! "What?!"

Dom watched as Billy shamelessly pushed his hand down his pants and adjusted himself. "Gettin' crowded down there it is."

"I can't believe this, I - what are you doing?" Dom gaped at Billy who hadn't brought his hand from his crotch and was shifting his arm around to, as it seemed, get a good grasp on things.

"Well if you aren't gonna take care of it I might as well, right?" Billy opened his eyes and ceased movement, waiting for Dom to answer.

"Not on my kitchen floor you won't!"

Billy reluctantly pulled his hand from his pants and crawled to Dominic, latching onto his bare feet. "I love this tattoo of the stars, Dommeh," he slurred, tracing his pinky over the design near Dom's toes.

Dom gasped and pulled his foot away when Billy looked up at him with a gleam in his eyes and a smirk on his mouth. "Gonna help a friend out?" Dom clenched his eyes shut and tilt his head back, mumbling to himself as Billy's hands crawled up the inside of his legs. "Or mebbe I need to help you out," he stated, pointing towards Dominic's painfully obvious arousal.

"Billy, no. You're pissed, get up."

"Can't we have a bit of fun Dom?"

"Not when you're drunk, please don't do this Bills."

"AH! So you admit you want me?"

Dominic sat down on the back of the sofa and sighed. "Bill you have no idea what any of this means. And it doesn't matter, cause you won't remember this tomorrow, will you?" Billy stood up, wrapped his arms around Dom's neck and leaned in next to the younger man's ear.

"If you give me tonight, I'll remember tomorrow."

Wrong, this is so wrong, Dom thought as Billy began to kiss down his jawline and up the other side. So wrong...

"Take me to bed."

Dominic noded and swallowed the last bit of his pride as he stood and took Billy's hands into his own. He lead down the hallway to the bedroom. When Dom shut the door and turned around, Billy stood less than a foot away from him, with lust filling his eyes.

Billy pulled Dom's wrists and fell down onto the bed, bringing the Brit to fall on top of him.

__________

"Are you ready?"

Not 'Are you sure?', just 'ready'. No Bill, I don't think I'll ever be ready for fucking up a friendship we've had for almost five years.

"Yea, I'm- I'm ready."

And there it was, one push and the world turned white. He could hear Billy, but he couldn't see him. Dom's eyes were wide open but everything was so bright he couldn't completely see anything in detail. The white slowly turned into a pinkish color and with one last push upwards, it was red, then dark.

__________

Dom stayed awake for two hours, listening to Billy snore peacefully beside him. Would he remember this tomorrow? Was he even drunk? What have I done?

Whispers had been exchanged during that night for only those two to hear. A long night of clumsy passion.

There had been no use for any sort of foreplay, Dominic was sure. But now he wished there had been so he could have changed his mind. This was so wrong. He wasn't sure Billy even meant all the things he said in the heat of passion.

'I've wished on many stars for this, Dominic.'

'We fit together, we're a true match.'

Above all the others, there was one Dom wished he could believe. That was the one Billy screamed out when he came deep inside his best friend, when their friendship had inevitably been changed forever.

'Jesus fucking hell, I love you.'

Dom slipped out of Billy's embrace and walked over to the bathroom. He wet a washcloth with warm water and cleaned himself up, then grabbed a new cloth and went back into the bedroom, cleaning Billy off as well.

"I'm sorry, Bills," he whispered as he kissed his friend on his temple. "I love you, too."

He grabbed a pillow, his boxers and made his way out into the living room. He sat on the couch and tilted his head back.

What was Billy going to say in the morning?

When Dominic woke up a few hours later, he felt very confused about where he was. He had fallen asleep on the couch, so why was he in his bed again? Had he come back in his sleep?

"Billy."

Dom turned around and his heart skipped a beat as the other side of the bed was unoccupied. Maybe Billy went to sleep on the couch, then.

Slowly he rose from bed and stretched, feeling very cramped and sore. He wrapped his arms around his torso and walked to the kitchen. There was a piece of paper attached to the pot of water that was to become tea but never did.

"Oh no."

My dear Dominic -

I must admit this now. I wasn't as drunk as you thought I was.

I led you back to your room because I knew the couch isn't comfortable.

Last night was my fault. And it was a mistake. I'm sorry I forced us into something we can't have.

My flight leaves soon, so I'll be gone by the time you wake. -Bill

Okay. This was good. Dom had been right, it was a mistake.

So why did it still hurt so much?

He sank to the floor and didn't bother stopping the tears from flowing down his face. There was a noise from outside and the door opened.

It was Elijah.

"Hey man, where are you? Why didn't you tell me Billy was in town? The fucker was tearing by me in the hallway out there like a bat out of fucking hell. Dom? Do- what are you doing on the floor?"

"Billy was just here?"

Elijah nodded and put his coat on a chair and rested his elbows against a counter. "Yea, mumbled something about his flight. I didn't even know he was here. Didn't you see him? Wasn't he here?"

Dom got off the floor and found a hooded sweatshirt and a pair of old Vans. "I gotta go Lij."

As he skidded down the steps and out the door of his apartment, he could see Billy getting into a cab and pull away.

Dom began to run and scream for the cab to stop. It was no use, even with traffic around this part of LA, the cab was too fast for him to keep up with. He fell to his knees and cursed the fact he had no pants on. He'd pay for it later. But right now he just needed to start breathing again.

Elijah jogged up next to him and yanked on his arms.

"What the hell was that all about Dom? What's gotten into you?"

Dominic looked at his friend and lost the fight with his emotions. He began to cry like a heartbroken thirteen year old girl when her first boyfriend breaks up with her for some abscure reason. And he just cried harder. Elijah held onto him and began walking back to the apartment.

"Wanna tell me about it when we get inside?"

Dom nodded and wiped his eyes and his nose on his sleeve. Before he went inside his apartment, he looked back and swore he saw Billy's cab stopped at a corner, waiting.

But it was probably only his imagination.
